Summer session is considered to be the end of the academic year; therefore, the amount of financial aid money left to be awarded is very limited. The most common type of financial aid available is the Direct Ford Loan. To be considered for financial aid for summer, a student must:
Complete and submit a paper or Web Summer School Financial Aid Application (available in early April).
File a current 2012-2013 FAFSA with Student Financial Aid Services.
Enroll at least half time (6 credits undergraduate, 5 credits graduate) during the summer session.
Students who wish to borrow from any, or a combination, of: the Direct Ford, law, and/or private loan programs may wish to make an appointment with a financial aid adviser to discuss their possible eligibility for a summer school loan. For more information call the Student Financial Aid Office (208) 885-6312 or visit the Financial Aid Web site.
